 Our Green Credentials

Our churches and LEPs are all bronze award holders, and we have registered our intention to become an Eco-Circuit. Creation care is at the heart of how we manage our buildings, think about outreach, and strategize for the future.

Where possible we encourage our members to walk, cycle, use public transport, or car share, (although we recognise that it's not always possible in the more rural areas of our community). Where we have church yards and green spaces, we try to set aside areas for nature, do our best to encourage biodiversity, and help our precious native birds, bugs, and animals to live and thrive alongside us in peace.

We have recently supported a big project at our Chesterton Church to curate a beautiful sensory garden that will provide a tranquil and educational community asset. We hope to welcome local families and school groups, as well as those members of our community who already regularly utilise our church spaces.

At Histon, the community has worked incredibly hard to secure funding for the installation of solar panels, and is now delighted to be producing clean renewable energy for the future.
